What is an ABS sensor?
An ABS sensor is a electronics device located on each wheel of a vehicle. Its main function is to monitor the speed at which each spins wheel and send this information to the ABS control unit.
The ABS control unit then uses this information to determine if the wheels are locking during hard braking. If it detects that one or more wheels are locking, it will automatically adjust the brake pressure to prevent the wheels from spinning. How does a sensor work?

As the wheel rotates, the teeth of the brake wheel pass the sensor, producing an electrical signal. The frequency of this signal is proportional to the speed at which the wheel rotates.
